2011 Season - Week 6
Trading Day 1
We are now just one BUMS weekend away from Trading Day 1 (Sunday October 30th) and more and more owners can’t wait to replace injured players. After last weekend John is going to need a new QB as the first pick in the 2011 BUMS draft, Raider Jason Campbell injured his throwing shoulder on Sunday and is out for the rest of the year. Campbell was the equal fifth highest scoring QB. Aaron is also likely to be looking for a QB to replace Peyton Manning but it’s kickers who could be in most demand as three have yet to play, Nate Kaeding (David) injured himself on the season’s opening kick-off and was placed on IR, David Buehler (George) has yet to kick for Dallas this season and Jeff Reed (Daz) is not on an NFL roster. Wayne’s Franchise RB Jamaal Charles was put on IR by Kansas City (if he wants to replace him, Wayne will have to pay Charles for the rest of his franchise contract) and not only is Stampy playing without a kicker he is one Receiver down too as Titan Kenny Britt is on IR.
Add to this list the 16 coaches, RBs and Receivers who have yet to score and it may be a busy Trading Day before the week 8 games. We start at 3pm, if you want to trade but can’t make it you can do so by email or phone. We have one more weekend to go before you need to finalise your plans but please let me know next week how you intend to trade. I’ll be back in England on Wednesday.
NFL Trade Deadline Passes
Dave G may be happy to know that Brandon Lloyd who has yet to score for Denver will definitely not score for the Broncos this season, he was traded to The Rams before the NFL Trade Deadline on Tuesday.
BUMS Players Hall of Fame
Thanks for those that have voted so far, for those who haven’t, you have 11 days to do so. As always select your favourite five players (in order) and get them back to me by Sunday October 30th, which is Trading Day 1. The four highest scorers will be inducted. See last weeks email attachment for the shortlist.
BUMS on Seats
It’s the NFL in London this weekend as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on H’s Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon at Wembley. If you are going, have a great time. As for the Sunday and Monday night games contact Johnnie and H.
